LET`S PRACTICE TO SPEAK ENGLISH

What will you do, when suddenly a student approaches and ask you the question, such as: I want to improve my English but,…
Sometimes we meet a student with his moan and complain: “I have taken English since I was in Yunior Secondary School, and now I have reached the Diploma III level. But, whenever I attempt to speak English, it is not so fluently. I attempt to read English language newspaper or magazines, I comprehend less than fifty percent of the content. I`ve also tried to improve my listening ability by listening language news on TV, but is it still difficult for me to understand what the news reader say. What should I do?”.
For answering this question, according to my opinion is: Keep on practicing. We know that English is a practice science. There are many ways to improve your English language ability. The key is to get into the habit of being exposed to and using English through listening, speaking, reading and writing. You motivate yourself, you can choose to do activities that match your classmate talking about songs, hobbies, daily activities and so on. Don`t be shy, make convident in yourself. Though there is someone dislike hearing your speaking, please be neglected. Practice makes perfect.
Many student have studied English for years, quite often they can`t speak English. An acceptable reason is that you have studied English in passive setting. It should be noticed, that to acquire the language skills, especially speaking, you need to speak a lot.
The predictable cause is that you are afraid to make mistakes, and you feel so because you lack confidence.
Remember that to acquire the language, you have to go to a process that includes making mistakes. Don `t think that you want to show off you speaking ability. You are learning to speak English. The more you practice your English, the more confidence you get and the less mistakes you make.
